2007 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

The NYS INVESTORS CONFERENCE held on June 19, at the Albany Marriott Hotel was attended by over 200 institutional investors, hedge funds, money managers, fund mangers , NYS companies, NYS investment employees and investment firms. Mike Relyea from NYSTAR delivered a keynote speech at a luncheon sponsored by LEMERY GREISLER LLC. Relyea talked about how companies can partner with the State , with the State taking on an investment role. Relyea has just left NYSTAR to run the LUTHER FOREST TECH Park, the future site of the Advanced Micro Devices chip plant.

Robert Wien , president of Mid-Market Securities then spoke about the role of investment banks with small to mid sized companies. Wien, an investment banker with over 30 years experience was formerly with Skadden Arps, Josephthal, and Dean Witter, where he was Director of Investment Banking. Wien was energized about the options companies have today to grow and gain new investment partners.

Four companies were awarded the "EXCELENCE IN BUSINESS" Award. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE Euronext) , Proginet, Misonix, and Albany Molecular each spoke about operating as a NYS based company, not outsourcing jobs and future growth.

A very special guest showed up after lunch to sign autographs. JOHNY PODRES, famous for winning GAME 7 of the 1955 World Series, the only time the BROOKLYN DODGERS beat the NY Yankees signed balls, photographs and talked about being a BROOKLYN DODGER. Johny also talked about Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle and Duke Snider and many others.

The Conference featured both public and private companies, all speaking to an audience about the history and new developments of their companies. CONSTELLATION BRANDS, (STZ) sponsored a wine reception and served NYS wines.

Due to the large success and response to this event, a fall Conference is being planned for the first week in November.
